New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees is the ‘world’s greatest’ NFL quarterback
New Orleans, La.
— Drew Brees has won more Super Bowls than any quarterback in the history of the NFL, but he doesn’t think it’s for lack of effort.
Brees was one of four quarterbacks who won MVP trophies in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
The others were Matt Cassel, Eli Manning and Peyton Manning.
But Brees is arguably the best in the league.
He leads the league in completion percentage (64.3 percent) and yards per attempt (6.63).
He’s the only quarterback in league history to average at least 4,000 yards per season, surpassing Brett Favre, Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan.
Barkley’s record-setting rookie season in 2013-14 has been overshadowed by the controversy surrounding his drug use, but the Saints quarterback said in January that he is not a user of anabolic steroids and that he’s done his best to live up to his legacy.
Brees said he is focused on being a better football player and the best he can be in his position, even if it means getting rid of an exorbitant amount of steroids.
“I’m a little bit nervous about the stigma associated with steroids, but I’m a better person for doing it,” Brees said, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“It’s something that I don’t need, it’s something I’ve done for years.
I can’t get over the fact that I’m not the biggest, baddest guy in the world, I can be a better man and a better athlete.”
As far as steroids, I’m just doing my best to be a great human being, to have good health, to be productive, and just be a good person.
“Brees has had his share of off-field issues, but said he has learned from his mistakes.
He has taken his time to learn and grow and he’s working to help other young quarterbacks improve.”
I’m proud of our team, proud of the work that we’ve done.””
We’re a very physical team, we’re a team that’s built for a lot of physicality.
I’m proud of our team, proud of the work that we’ve done.”
Bourez is also one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL.
He is the second-leading rusher in NFL history with 1,009 yards, while also leading the NFL in yards per carry with 4.9.
He also has a career rushing touchdown of 26 yards.
He’s one of two quarterbacks in NFL lore to throw for 300 yards and pass for 300 or more.
Bouzas success was aided by a strong supporting cast that included former NFL player Jonathan Ogden and former NFL safety Corey Graham.
Brees was one half of the New Orleans defense that helped lead the Saints to two Super Bowl titles from 2005-08 and a record-breaking eight NFC title games from 2012-16.
The New Orleans area has a rich history of NFL players with names like Earl Campbell, Reggie White, Joe Namath and Tim Brown all playing for the Saints.
Brees is no exception.
The Saints won eight of their last 10 Super Bowl appearances.
Brees and his team have won four in a row and will host the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl LII.
